Venzella Joy's journey began at age of ten playing in church and her school band. She earned wide recognition on MTV's "Making His Band" (2009), where audiences noticed her famously powerful style. In 2014, she realized her dream of joining Beyoncé's all-female touring band and has since performed on major events like Super Bowl 50. In addition to touring with Beyoncé, she also worked with artists like Chris Martin, Ari Lennox, The Dixie Chicks and performed in the house band for Seth Meyers and "Black Girls Rock" playing alongside Patti Labelle and Kelly Rowland. Beyond her drumming skills, Joy is also an actress, musical director and music producer. She fully produced her EP "Heart Music", played the role of Charity in the blockbuster film "Pitch Perfect 3" and MD'd several major festival and television performances.
