J.T. Corenflos

J.T. Corenflos (1963–2020) was a prolific American session guitarist renowned for his contributions to country music. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, he relocated to Nashville in 1982, initially performing with artists like Jean Shepard and Joe Stampley. By the early 1990s, he transitioned to full-time studio work, becoming a sought-after session musician. Throughout his career, he played on an estimated 75 number-one hits and collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Luke Bryan, Dolly Parton, Bob Seger, Sheryl Crow and Taylor Swift. His exceptional skill and versatility earned him the Academy of Country Music's Guitarist of the Year award in 2012 and 2020, along with numerous nominations.
