In 1994, his dad took Jared to the Allman Brothers Blues Band – and blues is an influence to this very day. Apart from blues, he grew up playing all kinds of styles: rock, funk, jazz, metal and grunge for example. Imagine that all these influences are rolled up into a ball that still always sounds like Jared – his trademark being very advanced FX sounds and loops, making rock and pop guitars something special. He treats every gig as the most important thing he can be doing, that means being prepared and having the right gear at hand – including the Kangra fuzz pedal that was designed in collaboration with him. Whether it's pumping funk, soulful blues, melodic elements or ambient textures, Scharff adapts instantly – always delivering authentic tone and feel.
