Uwe Bossert

Uwe Bossert, born 1974 in Bamberg, is best known as the guitarist of the German pop-rock band Reamonn, which he co-founded in 1998. After studying jazz guitar at the International Music College Freiburg, he joined forces with Irish singer Rea Garvey and fellow musicians to form Reamonn. The band rose to prominence in the early 2000s with chart-topping hits like "Supergirl", "Alright" and "Tonight". With their blend of emotional songwriting and accessible rock, Reamonn became one of Germany's most successful bands of the decade, performing across Europe and releasing several platinum-selling albums. Around 2007 he established his own recording studio in Munich and in the following years developed the music production company Achtung Music.

Emotional depth

Uwe's guitar style blends melodic clarity with restrained expressiveness, grounded in his jazz background, but shaped by modern pop-rock sensibilities. He favors warm, dynamic tones from classic guitars like the Gibson ES-335 and Les Paul as well as nylon string guitars. His playing is marked by emotional depth, tasteful phrasing, strong rhythmic support and an ability to serve the song – creating atmospheric textures (especially with broken chords and delays) or driving riffs without overpowering the arrangement: "It's all about finding the right tone for the right part of the track."
