FAQ

What’s the difference between the Tonalic arranger and studio editions?

Both editions come with the same inspiring content — but Tonalic studio takes your creativity to the next level.
With Tonalic studio, you get access to effect parameters (Drive, Ambience, Effect) and powerful tools to fine-tune every note — including voice leading, pitch, amplitude, and timing — right on the Refine page.

Can I upgrade from Tonalic arranger to studio at any time?

Absolutely! You can upgrade to Tonalic studio whenever you want.
Just start a new Tonalic studio subscription — the remaining value of your current Tonalic arranger plan will be credited automatically.

Can I use Tonalic Audio Content freely in my own production?

Yes — Tonalic Audio Content is 100% royalty-free and can be used and monetized without restrictions in any kind of music production you can think of. Find detailed legal information here...

Why a subscription?

Because Tonalic keeps growing — and you get it all at no extra cost.
Our content is constantly expanded and improved, so you’ll always have access to the latest and most complete collection. Plus, the musicians involved share in Tonalic’s success, and a subscription model is the only fair and transparent way to make that possible.

If you prefer not to start a continuous subscription, you can also get prepaid licenses through retailers — available for one month or one year.

Why do I need to be online?

To search for and download the Tonalics, you need a good Internet connection. Once the required data is on your hard disk, however, you can just as easily work offline, but your access thereafter will be limited to the Tonalics you have already downloaded.

Then why not download the whole library? For one thing, because it's far too big (you couldn't download all Netflix or Spotify either, for that matter), but also because we are constantly improving and expanding the content. Online access ensures that users have access at all times to the latest and best versions of everything currently available.
